Pictured above are different views of our sleep support system. The top pictures show the full front and the right end, which gives a detailed view of the support "web", and "web clamp bar". The clamp bar is the strip of wood with the wing nuts attached. The web is the white cloth material on the sides that run under the clamp bar. The left end of the web has a "grip strip", which is used to set the tension of the web. The other side is configured in a similar manner, and usually remains fixed, as it only requires adjustment on one end to set the correct support height. The web runs from the lower part of one side, and then up the side of a "riser support". It then runs under the cushion and then proceeds to the other end in the reverse order. The web is the adjustable height part of our system, and allows precise adjustment of user support height. This is accomplished by loosening the wing nuts on the clamp and either adding or subtracting tension from the web. When the correct height is achieved, the wing nuts can be tightened and the web will remain in a fixed position unless adjusted again. Users can for the first time, find their particular ideal head support height, and always be able to rely on this to remain unchanged. Pillows on the other hand can compress over a short time and leave the user with an uncomfortable head and neck position.
The vertical riser supports are what hold the web at the highest level, and allow it to descend in a gentle downward arc into the open area in the center. The user interface cushion is held in this area, and conforms to the arc. This arc enhances the overall user comfort experience, and gently coerces the head and neck into a center position which results in the least amount of stress on the neck and spine. This particular feature may be of some benefit to people with sleep apnea, who might have to rely on a breathing apparatus which must be stationed close to the users head. This feature also may be used on twin beds as an aid to help users from accidentally rolling off the side of the bed, as it trains one to sleep in the center. Individuals who have chronic neck problems will no longer have to hunt down the perfect therapeutic pillow, since our product can be tailored to your exact needs.
