Our products are manufactured in the U.S.A. Our motto, "Better sleep through better science", not only stems from carefully analyzing every aspect of the needs of individuals who seek the ultimate in bed time head support, but also from our constant quest of the best materials available on the market, to satisfy these needs. The combination of these efforts has resulted in a product which delivers unsurpassed head support comfort. Below is a description of some of the materials used in our system.
About the Frame: The Rockabye Cradle Support System™ is made up of the components discussed in the previous pages, along with a frame which is constructed from Appellation red oak. This wood comes from a renewable tree source. The Dream Support System™ frame, with its contemporary styling, is left in its natural oak color with a water based clear coating applied. It may also be ordered with no coating, so that the user can apply their own stain our finish. All wood parts are screwed together, and glue is used in areas which undergo high stress. The length of of the Cradle Support System™ is 36". The total weight of our system is 7 lbs. and can be lifted and carried easily using one arm, while grasping it at center of the back brace. It is designed to fit on a bed as narrow as a twin, or two units will fit on a king size bed when positioned side by side. When " making a bed" using a bed spread, and using the system, it is done in the same manner as using a pillow, and has much the same look when finished.
About the Web: The web is sewn using a high performance synthetic utility fabric, which will not stretch or sag even with changes in humidity. It is able to withstand heavy loads without distortion or tearing. Though it is protected by the user interface cover, it is easily removable, and can be machine washed and dried with low heat. Attached to the web is web cushion sleeve, which holds a foam cushion. This cushion can be easily removed for the purpose of washing the web.
About the Riser Cushions: The riser cushions are located on each side of the user interface cushion, and run along the top edge, and front of the risers. They protect the user from any hard areas located around the riser supports. They are made with a thick, firm closed cell foam, and covered with a fabric. These cushions can be removed, and hand washed if needed. The foam will not absorb liquids, and can be air dried very quickly. We also offer replacements, if they should accidentally get ripped or torn. About the Riser Side Cushions: The riser side cushions are an option as described above. They are tufted cushions made from a light duty canvas and have a polyester ribbon/strap sewn into the seam on each end. The ribbon ends have a snap which fasten to the counter part on the inside of the riser. Adjustment of web height, can easily be done by removing the back strap, only, and pulling the cushion away from the clamp bar. They contain a polyester fiber, and can be machine washed, and dried on low, if they become dirty.
About the Clamp bar: The clamp bar which is designed to hold the web in position, and is also constructed from oak. Used with the clamp bar, are wing nuts and washers which hold the web in place when tightened.
About the Cover: The cover unitizes the web, web cushion, and user interface cushion. It is wrapped on these components in a direction from front to back. The cover can be compared to a pillow case, and is the cloth material which protects the inner components from dirt, perspiration, and oils resulting from everyday use. About the User interface cushion and its case: As mentioned previously on page 6, the filler material that we are currently using is called cluster fiber. The case that holds this fiber is an ultra, 4 way stretch material that allows all of the benefits of the cluster fiber to be experience by the user. When used with our jersey knit cover, it will provide an unequaled support experience that feels like a down fill, but with much more reliable support.
